Passion is one of those words whose meanings vary from context to context. In the case of Dr. Meryl Nass, a physician and bioweapon researcher, nearly all of its contexts apply.
Passion, from the latin passio, means to endure suffering. In the middle ages, it was used to convey the suffering of Christ. Associated with strong emotion and suffering for a purpose, the word has analogical echoes with Georgio Santillana’s Hamlet’s Mill, an essay on “the hero’s journey”, where the travails of an individual through tribulation allows their heroic qualities to emerge and be tempered in strength.

The Process is The Punishment
This author has observed Dr. Nass’ modern verion of passion as time allows, including watching and listening to hours of banal videos of her Soviet show trial in Maine. Indeed, I was left horrified as members of “The Church of Process” operated their empty forms and specialized language in a passive-aggressive power play, not just against Dr. Nass, but against the creativity of physicians in general, and lastly, against conscience and also reason itself. The underlying theme is: “Shut Up, your truths are undermining the whole show.”
We have seen case after case in the last seven years of individual actions in various jurisdictions that ultimately tie back to lofty-sounding “associations” and “federations”; various policy-oriented licensing groups, of state officials and medical boards, all NGO, and all murky in their predicates to attack the livlihoods of doctors whose only “crimish” behavior is to decline to do the shut-up. To state this plainly, the power centers have cooked up or taken over pseudo-governing bodies and turned them into pressure groups with a technically fascist architecture.
Permission to Run for Office
Take the case of Dr. Shiva Ayyadurai’s run for the US Senate. Dr. Shiva discovered that a national NGO, The National Association of Election Officials, moved to have his Twitter account blocked as a result of his tweeting substantiated allegations that election officials in his state were deleting ballots in his run for the US Senate. All of this was proved out in court in a now forgotten case.
Permission to Do as You are Told
In Dr. Nass’ situation, the so-called “Federation of Medical Boards”, another NGO, has been alleged to be as least ostensibly involved in the attack on Dr. Nass’ license. No surprise there, because these groups, which are networking and policy groups, seem to function more as a “cosa nostra,” pressuring downward to make sure the underlings stay in line and punishing those who step out of it, even unwittingly.
I would bet money that this same mechanism was behind the action against Dr. Paul Thomas, whose pediatric office published a devastating and astonishing study on a pattern of vaccine damage to children, resulting in his license being pulled on trumped up charges soon after its publication. Now we see the dead hand of the power zombie again attempting to crush those daring enough to act on their consciences. In the case of Dr. Nass, she has been targeted for doing her job and exercising the powers, authorities and trust that she has earned throughout her adult life.
Truth Canal
To watch the ludicrous videos of Dr. Nass’ show trial is like getting an endless series of mental root canals that never end and move from tooth to tooth. And Dr. Nass has to sit there, at all of these fake hearings, and act like it’s a real process, when she knows it is not a real process; it is a fake process with real world effects, brought to you by the American Medical Soviet. It is a ‘Truth Canal” operation.
One of the interesting things about the word passion is that it is not often enough associated with reason. Jesus Christ did not defend himself because he was guided by reasoning fully understood only in heaven. Like the Christ, Dr. Nass has also been guided by reason and persecuted for offending off stage players concerned with extending their power. In her case, the NGOs are the Pharisees, and the Maine Medical Board is Pontus Pilate. The passivity of the Maine Board in allowing their medical licensing system to be commandeered by the power zombie is nauseating. They could have already shut this down, but like a pack of small dogs on a set of leashes, they stare at their screens as the show goes on.
The people of the United States need to begin investigating these non-governmental organizations that act like a giant, invisible thumb on their liberties, while pretending to promote standards that in the end serve to undermine American’s personal safety. These licensing boards have become the cold fingers of the power zombie.
This sick Soviet play against Dr. Nass needs to be passionately opposed. Because it’s not just her freedom to practice medicine that is at stake, it is the freedom of every person of conscience to tell the truth and act morally to assist their patients, their friends, families and communities. The exercise of freedom is the real target of the power zombie and its minions, especially, in this case, the freedoms to debate and practice actual medicine. The zombie lust for totalitarianism works in this case by confusing public health with medicine; when it never was.
Dr. Nass, at first unwittingly, and now knowingly, represents all of us. If this many-armed totalitarian process is not reversed, the transformation of the West into a permission-based society will be complete and it portends to be very ugly.
Thank you, Meryl Nass.
Thank you for this eloquent essay!
In my then faithfully Catholic med school we learned “patient” means “one who suffers” ~ each person we encounter in the office to be treated and considered and treated as “fearfully and wonderfully made” in the image of God with His gift of life to be valued. Dr Nass represents, cares for and defends each patient in the true physician mold. Thank God for her.
